Why fill out an application for Free/Reduced Meals?

  • You may qualify for Free and Reduced prices on our student meals even if you don't think you do. Families qualify based on numerous factors including the number of people in your household.

  • Even if you think you might qualify but plan on sending your child with cold lunch each day........PLEASE still fill out the application. Our School District's federal funding is based on how many student households qualify for free/reduced meals. We don't have accurate numbers if all families do not fill out the application.

  • Your application is confidential! Only the Business Office has access to these applications. No other District Staff, not even your child's principal, has access to these applications.

Is there anyone who doesn't need to fill out an application?

You do not need to fill out an application if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Currently receiving SNAP Benefits

  • Currently participating in TANF

  • Your household participates in Medicaid (this only applies if your household's current income falls within the National School Lunch Programs' annual income guidelines).

  • Your child is a Foster child.
