5 Things to Know about Mrs. Burton

I have the best job! I get to work with students, teachers, parents and other community members every day. My purpose is to help each member of our school community feel understood, equipped, and encouraged for long-term flourishing.

I am part of an excellent team. The teachers and staff at our school work hard to provide a good education for students. Our team is dedicated, creative, and professional. 

I believe in the Warden Way. Wardens are safe, respectful, and responsible. This is the expectation we have for staff, students, and visitors.

I like big words…and I cannot prevaricate! I have loved words since I first got to read a story aloud to my class as a kindergartner. My nose is often in a book or my earbud is reading me a story. My teaching career centered around reading, writing, and speaking words in English and Spanish. 

Cat or Griz?? My undergraduate degree is from the University of Wyoming and the Cowboys have my heart. Go Pokes! My graduate degree is from Montana State. Go Cats!
